start_thread() uses it, but it is not supported on MMU-less systems.
* libpthread/nptl/pthread_create.c (start_thread): Call madvise
only if __ARCH_USE_MMU__ is defined.

cleanup unused and unsupported code.
|

We do not support symbol versioning, so remove these weak aliases.
|
|
Only static linking is supported for now.
More debugging and analyzing for ld.so, TLS and NPTL
is required. But at least you can bootup a static
root fileystem in Qemu.

Current builds show the warning:
CC libpthread/nptl/pthread_create.os
libpthread/nptl/pthread_create.c: In function 'start_thread':
libpthread/nptl/pthread_create.c:418:3: warning: function declared
'noreturn' has a 'return' statement [enabled by default]
libpthread/nptl/pthread_create.c:418:3: warning: 'noreturn' function
does return [enabled by default]
Looking at glibc, it does not mark this function as noreturn. Testing
code size, gcc is smart enough to detect the code never actually returns
regardless of the attribute. So drop it to keep in sync with glibc and
to avoid the warnings.

This reverts most of commit 1610762362e651f86ca284ac59a1d7ec88034e4e.
Marking the symbols hidden is wrong, because libc accesses
the pthreads internal symbols for internal locking.

Add attribute_hidden to all symbols having libc forwarder. This prevents
recursive self calls which would happen if libc is before libpthread in
linking order: the forwarder functions would call itself via the function
table, since the libpthread symbols would get overwritten with libc ones.
This has not been a problem in glibc since there these symbols are marked
hidden with linker version-script. Since we don't use one, we need to mark
these explicitly.
