actually match reality. In particular, _SC_GETPW_R_SIZE_MAX and _SC_GETGR_R_SIZE_MAX were causing us problems with programs such as libglib, since they were always returning -1, which is a bit smaller than the actual passwd and group max buffer sizes. -Erik

2003-12-22implement the worthless cuserid() function we claim to support.Eric Andersen
This isn't in SuSv3, but is expected by at least some apps such as emacs...
2003-11-05Rip the guts out of the dynamically generated sysconf.c, and live with a simpleEric Andersen
static version. This will need further work later on, but should do the job for the time being,

rm.patch: * Define $(RM) as rm -f in Rules.mak and test/Rules.mak (this is the same definition as gmake uses by default). * Change all occurrences of rm and rm -f into $(RM).
2003-09-08Add back in table-less ctype funcs for those interested in minimizingManuel Novoa III
static build sizes and not needing wchar support. Add in a SUSv3 getopt as an option for those not needing gnu getopt. Again, mainly for the static linking crowd.
2003-08-01Add a new *scanf implementation, includeing the *wscanf functions.Manuel Novoa III
Should be standards compliant and with several optional features, including support for hexadecimal float notation, locale awareness, glibc-like locale-specific digit grouping with the `'' flag, and positional arg support. I tested it pretty well (finding several bugs in glibc's scanf in the process), but it is brand new so be aware. The *wprintf functions now support floating point output. Also, a couple of bugs were squashed. Finally, %a/%A conversions are now implemented. Implement the glibc xlocale interface for thread-specific locale support. Also add the various *_l(args, locale_t loc_arg) funcs. NOTE!!! setlocale() is NOT threadsafe! NOTE!!! The strto{floating point} conversion functions are now locale aware. The also now support hexadecimal floating point notation. Add the wcsto{floating point} conversion functions. Fix a bug in mktime() related to dst. Note that unlike glibc's mktime, uClibc's version always normalizes the struct tm before attempting to determine the correct dst setting if tm_isdst == -1 on entry. Add a stub version of the libintl functions. (untested) Fixed a known memory leak in setlocale() related to the collation data. Add lots of new config options (which Erik agreed to sort out :-), including finally exposing some of the stripped down stdio configs. Be careful with those though, as they haven't been tested in a long time. (temporary) GOTCHAs... The ctype functions are currently incorrect for 8-bit locales. They will be fixed shortly. The ctype functions are now table-based, resulting in larger staticly linked binaries. I'll be adding an option to use the old approach in the stub locale configuration.
2003-05-14Sleep was returning the wrong value because:David McCullough
* nanosleep returns the remaining time, not the time slept * nanosleep only fills out the remaining time if it returns -1 (ie., the sleep was interrupted) Fix from Paul Dale <pauli@snapgear.com>
2002-12-04Change some variable names so we are more consistant with whatEric Andersen
the linux kernel uses. -Erik
2002-12-04For now, always claim we have exactly one cpu. It shouldEric Andersen
generally be the truth...
2002-11-21Oops. As Pavel Roskin notes, I forgot to conditionally includeEric Andersen
the __fsetlocking call in libc/unistd/usershell.c. It should be wrapped and only included if __UCLIBC_HAS_THREADS__ is defined.
2002-11-20Rework usershell.c, as the old one was packed full of unhandledEric Andersen
failures, returned stack allocated memory, and misbehaved itself in a number of other annoying ways, -Erik

2002-10-31Ok, this commit is _huge_ and its gonna change the world. I'veEric Andersen
been working on a new config system on and off for about 6 months now, but I've never been fully satisfied. Well, I'm finally am happy with the new config system, so here it is. This completely removes the old uClibc configuration system, and replaces it with an entirely new system based on LinuxKernelConf, from http://www.xs4all.nl/~zippel/lc/ As it turns out, Linus has just merged LinuxKernelConf into Linux 2.5.45, so it looks like I made the right choice. I have thus far updated only x86. I'll be updating the other architectures shortly. -Erik

2002-08-07rework getopt. no read need to split this one up sinceEric Andersen
the parts are so tightly coupled.
2002-07-15Clean up CLK_TCK situation. clock() and sysconf() now use anManuel Novoa III
arch-specific constant value defined in bits/uClibc_clk_tck.h. Default is 100 (common/bits) but alpha uses 1024 following glibc. Override per arch as necessary.
2002-06-18Cleanup the getcwd implementation (again) since I broke itEric Andersen
last night. Restore malloc-ing when buf=NULL for the syscall version... Move getcwd to libc/sysdeps/linux/common and out of syscalls.c so there is just one getcwd.o object present. -Erik
2002-06-18Eliminate all the pointless globals from getcwd(). DefaultEric Andersen
