I mailed with Jan-Benedict Glaw, it seems VAX on Linux
is really a lot of work todo and uClibc support didn't work ever.

These are split across objects so setting size does not (and never did)
work since the expression cannot be computed at assembly time.
This avoids errors from recent (> 2.21) gas.

sure still bugs (properly hidden, of course), a libm is completely missing
(I've got one that implements some basic stuff, but that's really not
ready for checking in...)
I've also got a list of other things that need touch-ups, but that's mostly
minor stuff that'll be done during the next days.
