2004-08-21 | Kill off all support for 'gcc -pg' / 'gprof' style profiling. There is both a | Eric Andersen
size and performance penalty to profiling applications this way, as well as Heisenberg effects, where the act of measuring changes what is measured. There are better tools for doing profiling, such as OProfile, that do not require gcc to instrument the application code. -Erik
2004-07-30 | Cleanup some dead wood in the header files | Eric Andersen
2004-04-20 | Cope with gcc 3.4's more aggressive persuit of attribute unused | Eric Andersen
2004-02-06 | Sigh. The 2.6.x kernel removed '__kernel_dev_t' and renamed it as | Eric Andersen
'__kernel_old_dev_t'. And of course there is no good way to know which is in use except checking linux/version.h. Grumble. This is rather lame, but for now, define __kernel_old_dev_t to be the same as __kernel_dev_t. This will want to be revisited soon. -Erik
2003-09-08 | Fix a trivial compile problem | Eric Andersen
2003-09-07 | Some updates from glibc. mjn3 reports this fixes profiling | Eric Andersen
on i386, at least, so seems like a good thing.
2003-06-11 | Fix arm syscall implementation so it does not blow chunks with gcc 3.3 | Eric Andersen

2003-03-03 | Initial effort at adding profiling support. | Eric Andersen
2003-01-24 | Finish up fixing stat and setting various system types. | Eric Andersen
2003-01-24 | Ok, people are probably going to hate me for this... This commit changes the | Eric Andersen
type of 'struct stat' and 'struct stat64' so they use consistant types. This change is the result of a bug I found while trying to use GNU tar. The problem was caused by our using kernel types within struct stat and trying to directly compare these values with standard types. Trying an 'if (a < b)' when 'a' is an 'unsigned long' and 'b' is an 'int' leads to very different results then when comparing entities of the same type (i.e. time_t values).... Grumble. Nasty stuff, but I'm glad I got this out of the way now. As a result of this fix, uClibc 0.9.17 will not be binary compatible with earlier releases. I have always warned people this can and will happen. -Erik
2002-10-09 | Support O_STREAMING | Eric Andersen
2002-09-05 | Change <bits/syscall.h> to <bits/sysnum.h>. | Miles Bader
2002-08-27 | Added __kernel_fsid_t to satisfy some apps that need it. | David McCullough
Definitions taken from 2.4 kernel sources for each of the platforms.
2002-08-26 | Make bits/kernel_types.h include guard names match the include | Eric Andersen
guard names used by the kernel's asm/posix_types.h to eliminate gratuitous conflicts and let our file win over the very-likely- to-be-broken kernel header file. -Erik
2002-08-25 | Finish off the bits/kernel_stat.h cleanup for proper | Eric Andersen
__USE_FILE_OFFSET64 handling. -Erik
2002-08-24 | Break dependancy of bits/types.h on the asm/posix_types.h kernel | Eric Andersen
header, which is not directly usable for many architectures. -Erik
2002-08-23 | Split out the definition of struct stat into the new arch | Eric Andersen
specific bits/kernel_stat.h file. -Erik
2002-08-22 | Support _syscall6 and _syscall7 for arm | Eric Andersen
-Erik | |||
2002-07-22 | Rework syscall handling. Rewrite syscall handlers for x86 and ARM. | Eric Andersen
Prepare to kill the UNIFIED_SYSCALL option and instead have it be a per arch thing that is either enabled or not for that arch. -Erik
2002-03-01 | Major rework of the include files to eliminate redundancy | Eric Andersen
and to better support each arch. This is a really big patch... -Erik
2001-11-14 | Scrub up some lingering problems preventing readdir64 from working | Eric Andersen
and creating several *64 problems, particualrly when client apps used -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D__USE_FILE_OFFSET64. All better now. -Erik
2001-10-17 | Bring these into line with glibc 2.2.4 | Eric Andersen
2001-10-17 | This header file was broken, breaking signal handling on ARM. | Eric Andersen
This update fixes it... -Erik
2001-10-04 | Patch from David McCullough <davidm@lineo.com>: | Eric Andersen
* reduce the sigset types to 32 bits (I've mentioned this before) I think I saw this change go in for another platform anyway ;-) * Do not use _IO_FILE as it clashes with the C++ libraries which know too much about how glibc workds :-( * Do not use _G_va_list for the same reason. * remove the CTORS/DTORS from crt0.S for ARM as the compiler provided crtbegin.o and crtend.o have these (and only these) already in them and you get multiple defined errs :-(
2001-09-27 | Gut this file, and quit referrng to _IO_* junk | Eric Andersen
2001-09-27 | Finish syncing up arm | Eric Andersen
2001-09-27 | Update to accomodate the header file changes | Eric Andersen
2001-07-11 | Added __BEGIN_DECLS and __END_DECLS to the files that didn't have | David McCullough
it and that I could see needed it. Should be pretty low impact as these are only defined when using C++.
2001-07-03 | Autogen include/bits/syscall.h for ARM | Eric Andersen
-Erik | |||
2001-06-30 | Add syscalls.h for ARM | Eric Andersen
2001-06-27 | Yes... I forgot to update bits/dirent.h for the other archs. :-( | Manuel Novoa III
2001-05-26 | These are needed for arm to compile | Eric Andersen
2001-05-12 | These seem to be missing also | Eric Andersen
2001-05-12 | This file was missing on arm | Eric Andersen
2001-05-12 | Add missing header file for arm | Eric Andersen
2001-05-07 | Change FILENAME_MAX to be only 255. Max filename on ext2 is 255, | Eric Andersen
so there is no reason to allocate 4k. Change working of execvep.c per patch from Matthias Kilian <kili@outback.escape.de> so that there is not a fixed 127 byte buffer. Too easy to overflow... -Erik
2001-04-24 | These are needed for arm ld.so support (not at all working yet...) | Eric Andersen
-Erik | |||
2001-04-19 | Remove all the __THROW macros | Eric Andersen
2001-04-06 | Fix include/errno.h to not use kernel header, and instead use bits/errno.h. | Eric Andersen
This required we use _LIBC instead of __LIBC__ to be consistent with glibc. This had some sideffects in sys/syscalls.h. While fixing things, I made everything use __set_errno() for (eventual) thread support. -Erik
2001-03-30 | It seems ARM 2.4.x kernels do not have iopl. Also add missing | Eric Andersen
bits/sem.h for ARM so everything now compiles and runs. -Erik
2001-01-25 | Clean up atexit.c; make sure sysconf and atexit agree; link in ref'd libgcc.a | Manuel Novoa III
objects with shared uClibc; allow disabling long long support.
