2008-10-01Fix compilation problem whit the following config options:Carmelo Amoroso
UCLIBC_HAS_STRING_GENERIC_OPT=y UCLIBC_HAS_STRING_ARCH_OPT is not set by making WORD_COPY_FWD macros visible. Signed-off-by: Carmelo Amoroso <carmelo.amoroso@st.com>
2008-09-09Add optimized memcpy implementation for sh4 (from Stuart Menefy ↵Carmelo Amoroso
@STMicroelectronics). This implementation is based on 'backward copying'. Signed-off-by: Carmelo Amoroso <carmelo.amoroso@st.com>
2008-05-19Moving libc_hidden_proto's into #ifdef UCLIBC_INTERNAL blockDenis Vlasenko
in string.h and strings.h. This caught unguarded string ops in libc/inet/ethers.c __ether_line_w() function. I will wait for fallout reports for a week or so, then continue converting more libc_hidden_proto's.
2007-12-22mark a bunch of public mem/str functions as weak so that people who insist ↵Mike Frysinger
on their own local copies while static linking dont hit link failures when other uClibc code force the libc.a objects to be pulled in via the hidden alias symbols

2006-01-14hidden_def/hidden_proto: convert all users (I hope) termios split, add some ↵Peter S. Mazinger
missing headers, other jump relocs removed
2006-01-03Use strong_alias everywhere instead of .global/.set. Correct some cases ↵Peter S. Mazinger
where the non-hidden version was used.
2005-11-14Move to use attribute_hiddenPeter S. Mazinger
2004-09-02Add a couple of mips-specific string funcs.Manuel Novoa III
Port the generic optimized string funcs from glibc, with some tweaks to cut their size a little. The main change is making memmove call memcpy for forward copying to trim redundant code. Make use of both the generic and arch-specific speed-optimized string funcs configurable. Arch-specific take precedence over generic, and generic takes precedence over basic size-optimized uClibc funcs.
